This is the basic swab for the bassoon’s wing joint.  It is made of soft and absorbent cotton material and sized to fit completely through the wing joint.  This is a basic pull-through swab intended for use in the wing joint. 

This swab won’t be practical for use in the boot joint, where a fuller cut of material and a different type of weight are required.  For that purpose use the No. 1227D Boot Pull Swab.
